
Important Information
Led bulbs are compalible with all types of magnetic transformers but if thay exceed the maximum voltage rating for the Led will fail prematurely. Many electric transformers require a minimum load which is greather than that provided by Led bulbs. Led bulbs will usually not work properly (not light output, flickering, strobing) in future.
We recomended changing the power supply to a 12 V DC type if possible. Otherwise you must make sure that the voltage of your existing power supply does not exceed 14 volts with the Led bulbs installed.
Many standard Track Light power supplies will produce voltages as high as 16 with little or no load (Led bulbs provide little load).
If you run a couple of standard bulbs with the led bulbs this will usually load the power supply down to a safe voltage but it is always best to actually measure the voltage to make sure.
Maximum voltage is 14 DC (11,5 V AC) over voltage will destroy these bulbs and void the warranty many track light fixtures have power supplies which produce high voltage with little a no load you must measure the no-load voltage before installing these bulbs.
You may disappainted in the light output from leds if you a replacing halogen bulbs for general lighting. In comparing the light output to halogen bulbs the white led bulbs are comparable to about 7 walts, 14 led bulbs are comparable to about 15 walts the light output from our HO and LX bulbs are comparable to about 20 walts of halogen.
The led bulbs are for where you just need a little accent lighting a where power conseration is very important, such a battery powered applications.
